Clay Clubhouse was started in 2020 by Jo Boyer, an Oakland based ceramic artist . As a queer nonbinary artist, Jo's dream was to cultivate a place where folks could create space and community through a shared experience with clay. Born in the age of a pandemic, the studio was built on resilience and perseverance. This is the energy and spirit that Jo and the Clay Clubhouse hope to bring to the community.
